The Free Black Women’s Library comes to Community Futures Lab!

The Free Black Women’s Library is a Brooklyn-based interactive mobile library that features over 420 books written by and about Black women. The library centers and celebrates the art, music, history and stories of Black women and girls worldwide. All books are available via trade. http://thefreeblackwomanslibrary.tumblr.com/

Please feel free to bring a good book written by a Black women to donate or trade.

1pm – Library Opens
3pm – Join us for a discussion on themes of Community and Memory in Black women’s literature.
3:45pm – Parables AfroFeminist Sermon delivery by Ola Ronke
4:30pm – Open Mic – bring a short piece of any genre to share
